Your site guide
Find an idea.
Take the next step.¶
Browse a course, test what you remember, and follow a concept's foundations. Start with one question; the page and panel guides show each control when you reach it.
Use the Wiki alongside your course materials. Your lecturer's syllabus and assessment guidance remain the reference for your course.

What would help today?¶
01 / Orient
Find your place.¶
Open a year and course hub. Choose a lecture or week, or switch to By topic for the same concepts grouped by subject, then one concept to read. Practise links to worked exam problems where a course has them.
02 / Understand
Unpack an idea.¶
Search by name, code or teaching unit. Read the definition and follow a prerequisite if a step is unclear.
03 / Revise
Try before revealing.¶
Choose a few concepts, save a study set and review them one at a time. Mark the session step separately from mastery.
04 / Teach
Prepare an explanation.¶
Inspect published prerequisites, later uses and sources before building a review for a lesson or tutorial.
Coverage matters. Year 1 has the most developed concept notes. Year 2 has course hubs and partial concept notes, including Math V, Life Insurance, Game Theory and Risk Insurance. Year 3 has programme hubs and foundation notes for Stochastic Models; lecture placement is still provisional. A course link does not claim complete coverage.
Find, practise, revisit
One concept at a time¶
Search and select¶
The header search opens a title quickly and also recognises concept names in Chinese, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Romanian. A course hub searches within its course. Concept Finder combines keywords, codes and lecture tags, then lets you select a small revision pool.
Try: m1c AND (derivative OR integral) in Finder's advanced query.
Save a set and review¶
Use a named study set to keep an ordered pool for later revision. A review session is a separate activity; its Done and Skip results do not change your mastery rating.
Study sets and sessions stay in this browser and are unavailable in Exam Mode. Use the study-set Library backup (.json) to transfer sets; Account backup does not include them. Read backup and session details →
Measure your own understanding. Each concept has a mastery score from 0 to 100, built from your self-ratings (Unknown, Partial, Clear or Mastered) and your AI-check answers; recent evidence counts more, and opening a page never counts. Self-test folds explanations for recall; an available AI check needs internet to check answers. Course diagnostics lists weak, shaky-foundation, due-for-review and unassessed concepts; these are study records, not course grades. See how the score works →
Follow the connections. Concept pages link to foundations and later uses. Nearby and other map views draw from published links; missing links do not prove that no relationship exists. For the big picture, the Concept Galaxy shows every course in 3D. Map treasure is an optional connected-account activity. Capsules under week and lecture names count the concepts you have opened, and My → Account → BSc EOR Passport shows them all on one shareable map. Read map and treasure rules →
For teachers and tutors
Prepare the foundations¶
Choose a concept or lecture in the Teaching workbench, build its relationship review, and check each page's sources against your course materials. Notes remain on the page until you download or print them; they are not in Account backup. The graph is a preparation aid, not an official syllabus or class-level report. Read the method and limits →
Optional workspace
Keep control of your records¶
Account and backup¶
An account can sync supported learning records across devices. Open My → Account → Sync & learning data to inspect status and backups. Study sets and teaching notes have separate browser-local boundaries. Read exactly what each backup contains →
Privacy and personalisation¶
Open My → Account → Privacy before sharing a profile or activity. My → Rewards → Store offers optional personalisation; XP and EORbits are activity records, not course grades. Read privacy and Store details →
Optional discovery and competition
Explore at your own pace¶
Rankings and honours¶
Compare concept activity, learner XP, EOR Rating and Collection Value on Rankings. Explain gives each board's measure and UTC period. Monthly honours settle after the month ends; rankings are not a study plan. Read definitions →
Course achievements and badges. Each course with AI checks has its own achievements, shown on its course page and beside its concepts; account badges mark wider milestones. My → Rewards → Collection shows your progress and how many learners hold each one. Read collection details →
Friendly challenges¶
Open My → Rewards → Arena for live duels, ghost races and your record. Check the displayed rules and status before an official match. Read duel rules →
Weekend course quizzes¶
Choose Year 1 or Year 2 in Weekend events. The event card shows the exact course scope and whether an official run is open. Some weekends have no competition when enough eligible questions are unavailable. Read the schedule and scoring →
A compact reference
Course codes¶
Use a code as a Finder token, for example m1c for Math I: Calculus or pt for Probability Theory for EOR. Progress and badges show the same codes in capitals, with Math I–VI as M1–M6. Codes identify courses, not complete note collections or an official programme specification. See all recognised codes →
When something gets in the way
Try the next small step¶
- Too many results?
- Search inside the course, or add its code and a specific term in Finder.
- Formula displays as raw text?
- Refresh once. If it persists, report the page and formula.
- Pages feel slow on an older device?
- Open the sliders button left of the search box and untick Site animations: menus, panels and dialogs then open at once. Lite also turns animations off and hides optional learning tools.
- Different progress on two devices?
- Confirm the account on each device and inspect My → Account → Sync & learning data. Use the offered recovery and backup steps.
- Unsure what to revisit?
- Open Course diagnostics, pick one concept from Weak by evidence or Prerequisite gaps, and try its prerequisite or an example.
Help improve a page¶
Report an error, unclear step, missing prerequisite, broken link or mismatched AI check with the page URL and a suggested correction or source.
Studying on an exam-room network?¶
The Exam Mode mirror has the same concept notes, search and maps but contacts no other website, so a locked-down exam network only needs to allow this site. It has no account features, AI quizzes or worked exam problems, and it is not a bank of exam questions or solutions.
