About Exam Mode

This is the exam-room mirror of BSc EOR Wiki. It provides the concept notes and local navigation tools without accounts, cloud sync or AI mastery checks.

Course Material

Start at Year 1 or Year 2, then choose a course. The most developed material is in Year 1; Year 2 has concept notes for Math V, Life Insurance, Game Theory and Risk Insurance; an empty course hub explicitly says that its concept pages have not been written yet.

Concept pages contain definitions, explanations, examples, prerequisites, related concepts and sources where available.

Search and Concept Finder

The header search accepts concept titles, aliases, course codes and lecture tags. For example, use m1c (or M1) for Math I: Calculus or m1c-lecture05 for its Lecture 5 material. Course pages also offer a course-local search. Search also recognises concept names in Chinese, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Romanian.

Concept Finder builds a focused revision pool. Add keywords, course codes or lecture tags, combine them with AND, OR and parentheses, then run the search. Open a result directly or use the pool for random revision.

Local Mastery

Use the information button beside My understanding for a guide to the four levels. Ratings support local revision, Course diagnostics and Learning Path:

  • Mastered (M): I can use this concept independently, solve a new problem with it and explain why my approach works.
  • Clear (C): I can explain the main idea in my own words and follow standard examples, but may still need guidance to apply it independently.
  • Partial (P): I recognise some of the idea, but gaps or confusing steps still prevent me from explaining or using it reliably.
  • Unknown (U): I have not learned this concept yet, or cannot explain its central idea. I need to start with the definition and a basic example.

Your ratings form a mastery score from 0 to 100 for each concept. Older ratings count less over time, and one rating alone moves the score only part of the way. With no rating the page shows Mastery: no evidence yet.

An unrated concept is separate from Unknown: visiting a page alone does not choose a rating. Not assessed in prerequisite readiness means that none of its prerequisites has an explicit rating yet.

These records belong to this browser. Exam Mode does not sign in, upload study activity or sync it to another device. The normal and Exam sites can share browser storage when they use the same host, so existing local ratings may appear here. Clearing browser site data can remove local records.

Course Diagnostics

Course diagnostics lists concepts that are Weak by evidence, have Prerequisite gaps, are Due for review or have No evidence yet, then every concept by teaching unit. Opening a page is not evidence. Use it to identify a concept or prerequisite you want to revisit.

Concept Connections and Maps

The Concept connections panel, Concept maps and Learning Path use the local concept graph. They show prerequisites, dependents, nearby ideas and guided routes through the material.

Revision Modes

Random revision moves through a selected pool of concepts. Self-test opens the content folded so you can attempt recall before revealing the explanation. AI-test is unavailable in this mirror.

Unavailable Features

Accounts, cloud sync, comments, edit requests, Rankings, XP, EORbits and Store items are disabled in Exam Mode. AI mastery checks and their question-and-answer files are not published here.

Personal achievements, monthly honours, the EOR Rating, public profiles, Arena duels and weekend activities belong to the normal Wiki and are unavailable in this mirror.

You do not need an account for the notes, search or local study tools. Instructions elsewhere that refer to external source material do not mean those external sites are accessible on the exam network.

Quick Help

  • Too many results: use course-local search or add a course token in Concept Finder.
  • Missing prerequisite: open Concept connections or the concept map.
  • Missing local rating: check that you are using the same browser and profile; there is no cloud recovery in this mirror.
  • A blank course hub: look for the Not written yet notice.
